Celebrating The Girl Child On International Women’s Day

A girl grows to become a woman
She is constantly reminded how the bulk load of life lies on her shoulder
She unconsciously prepares herself to live her life for others
She considers people who do not care so much about her gender before making decisions that make her happy
She is made to see that she doesn’t have a choice but to go by the rules……

And then, the whole orientation changes
She believes more in herself
She doesn’t allow anyone to toss her around
She makes a firm decision
She builds herself and makes a name
She becomes the absolute best living on her terms
She is the one being celebrated today.
